Removing 1994 B2300 Pick Up Shift Knob
#2
There are several styles, I am not sure which the truck uses but the possibilities are screw on, press on and glued on, knowing my older Fords I have/had its glued/pressed on and since this is a '94 it is a Ford Ranger with a Mazda badge so my money is on the pressed/glued option.

Dont twist, if there are splines inside it will snap them and the original **** will not be re-usable unless filled with epoxy (like my F250 is) and pushed back on, put something under it that can surround the base as much as possible and try to hammer it straight off vertically. Chances are though it will break, its usually just a plastic ball inside which doesnt take kindly to violence
