Hey my mazda brothers!!!!!!!!!!!! Need alittle help here to save some much needed money. My 1997 mazda , b2300 fuel gauge quit working, I was told i needed to replace the fuel sending unit inside the tank, well the parts shop says there is no fuel sending unit, that i needed a fuel pump that it all comes to gether.

Can an expert out there help me, thanks for the help. I was told that it will cost 370.00 to fix it ,, i have to do it myself.

alot of the time the wires entering the sending unit are corroded or broken within the protective coating and are so messed up they will not send electricity through. What you have to do is wiggle these wires around and see if the gauge works. Cut the wires about one inch up from the sending unit and see if they are copper color or corroded black. Worst case scenario the wire is fully corroded and shot. Strip the wire down to the metal tabs, once exposed you can with a soldering iron (no open flame) splice in a wire to complete the circuit once again.Kelly
