1990 B2200 clutch is grinding......
My clutch on my 1990 Mazda B2200 5 speed is grinding. It will do it in reverse, going into 1rst, going into 2nd and gets better the higher you go in gears. What should I expect soon? It will sometimes grind while I am sitting at a red light and peddle to the floor on clutch. I quit driving the truck for now. Could it be the clutch bering or the whole clutch going out? Anybody around Atlanta or south of replace one of these before?
Thanks

Or it could be leaky clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder, or air in the system. These trucks have weak cylinders there. Check that out first, have helper push down pedal, climb underneath and make sure the release arm on the side of the transmission is really moving like it should. Hint: get lifetime-warranty replacements, I've changed mine out a bunch.

Unlessthe clutch master cylinderwas leaking out its rear seal into the interior cavity, like mine did three weeks ago....you could also have an internal leak, where fluid is not held at pressure, leaks past the cylinder seal internally, so you don't ever see a leak. Did you go underneath and check out that clutch release arm movement?

If it makes the grinding sound when you push the clutch pedal in, then it sounds like a throwout bearing has gone bad. It could also be a pilot bearing or a transmission bearing, but I'd bet on the throwout bearing.
