Default Water leak

Hi all,
I have an MX6 and water is leaking into the car from the sunroof. I want to remove the sunroof and check out the drain pipes which I assume are there somewhere. They are probably blocked with crud after all the years of bad weather, bird poop etc. Can anyone give me any idea how to go about this? Alternatively any idea where I could get a workshop manual that would give me that info?

The sunroof has a drain on all 4 corners. The front 2 run down the front pillars through rubber hoses. All 4 drains use hoses and drain via small openings in the body pinch flange under the car. You can blow them out with compressed air usually and they can be checked by opening the sunroof and pouring water into the channels then looking underneath for drainage. The panel is easy to remove but i don't think you need to. Look underneath at the pinch flange just behind the front tires and just in front of the rear tires for the openings and blow them out. Trash collects in them usually.

Thank you for that information, I would still like to remove the panel to clean out the channels and the drain pipes. Apart from allowing me to do that job properly and clear the pipes from the top, it would also enable me to get a little bit of surface rust on one corner of the sunroof panel sorted. It is the only rust on the car and it makes sense to deal with it before it perforates the panel. So are there any instructions available anywhere for removing the whole sunroof panel?

Remove the 2 plastic pop on strips and you will find 4 bolts that hold the sunroof on. The sunroof will have to be adjusted on reasembly however but it is pretty easy to do.
