Default Upgrading 1989 MX6-GT Turbo Exhaust

I have a 1989 MX6-GT Turbo that is completely stock. I have attempted to upgrade my exhaust, primarily for better sound, but performance also. I have been told that any modifications I make that affect back pressure will cause performance problems with the computer and that I will be unhappy. Is this true and are there any reliable, trouble free ways to accomplish this?

Thanks, Michael

i have had 2 turbod motors like these, if you have the money to put in a cat back exhaust system then do that with a high flow cat and a good muffler and you shouldnt have any problems with back pressure and not problems with the ecu, trust me with that and a few other tricks that i have up my sleeve you can run hella quick, hit me up if your interested....
