Default Lights

I've got a 94, I've known her for 10 years, but she's only been mine for the last 5. I've noticed that my headlights are cloudy. It's not the light bulb, I've changed them before. It's inside the light, like the plastic has faded or something. So my question is; can the inside of the lights be cleaned or do I need to hunt down new lights?

I'm assuming you mean the casing around the headlights is cloudy. You should probably just replace them. Plastics (polyethylene, polystyrene, etc) all break down eventually. After years and years of sunlight, the UV radiation causes the material to break down and oxidize. This sort of reaction is a chemical change that isn't exactly... reversable. I'd reccomend just buying new (or slightly new parts.

There may be a way you can fix that. Sometimes its mostly on the surface so if you wetsand it, it clears it up a bit, sometimes it clears it very well depending on how bad it is. Then you clearcoat it to maintain the clearness. My headlights are somewhat like that, so i'm going to wetsand it as soon as i can to make it much clearer. If its to the point where wetsanding does not do anything, then the best idea would be to purchase a new set. Jspecs maybe :P
