HEI mod on Mazda MX-3 v6
Hi
I have a question abaut the HEI mod that i have found a guide to here:
ProjectMazda :: HEI Ignition Module install
In the guide they are using a GM HEI ignition module and a external coil.
Is it not possible to use a combined ignition module and coil?
I have found a combined coil and ignition module at my local car hardware store.
Tændspole med tændingsmodul,med 3 ben,Kina kvalitet til Volkswagen Polo Polo 4 (6KV3) 1.6 100 hk. Classic 11/95-10/01
It has three conectors, i guess that i need to wire it as following:
G - who needs to be wired to the 6 pin orange wire
B - who needs to be wired to the 3 pin blue wire (+)
C - who needs to be wired to the 3 pin red wire (-) and also a 1000-ohm resistor and a wire to the 3 pin Yellow w/blue stripe (tachometer)
Or is it not possible to use a combined coil and ignition module?
