Default coolant

First question:

Does anybody know how i kan drain out the old coolant from the bottom block? because i took out the cylinder head and now im trying to drain out the coolant. I've done drain the radiator and took off the bottom hose..but coolant still remains....Is there like a bolt or something i need to loosen??

second question:
WHat would you use to clean the old head gasket waste from the bottom block...?? would u use a scraper?

SOrry but im a beginner with mx-6 engines....
...HELP NEEDED..any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated....

There is very little coolant left in the block that it really dosen't matter at that point. As many cyl heads as I have done, I have never done that before... with no problems. You will have more coolant trapped in the heater core and hoses than the block. If you really want to get it out, while everything is apart, just pour some clean water through the coolant passages in the block.

To remove the head gasket material, use a gasket scraper or a stiff putty knife. If you have air tools such as a die grinder, there is an attachment available with scothbrite pads that remove gasket material.
