I recently purchased a 1989 Mazda MX6 and last night the alternator gave up on it. When looking at the alternator it would appear that it is going to be a real pain to get out because there is some other stuff in the way. If anyone here has done this replacement themselves, I would greatly appreciate and insight you have on doing the swap. Do I have to remove anything else from the engine to get the alternator out?
