Default Car sitting for 6 months. Maintenance?

So the car was sitting for 6 months. My brother states the battery died because of the alarm drained it. So I put a new battery and she started up fine, however, I did notice that when she sits for a couple days, and I start her up again. One of the belts squeal. My question is.. should I changethe belt or is the belt loose? I also took a look at the oil & the coolant. They appear to be fine, however would you still change the fluids?. Thanks in advance.

you should always be changing your fluids... even if you don't run your vehicle for long amounts of time. Oil is a must unless you want to destroy your engine. I change my oil in my dakota that I keep in my garage twice per year. I use a full-synthetic as it has a cleaning agent involved for Pennzoil Platinum.

I would suggest you use a trickle-charger for your battery when you are storing it.

hey bud i would definitely change/top up fluids, possibly change spark plugs or distributor, and take a good look at your tires and rims if its sat for 6 months in one spot never being moved.
