1993 Mx3, 1.6L Manual. Recent purchase. New alternator, new battery. Alt not charging battery. Key on engine off: Charge light on, Engine on: Charge light Off. Battery at 12.69V.
Alternator Positive to battery Neg: 12.63V engine Off. Alternator Positive to battery Neg 12.13V engine on.
Main 80A fuse: good, 30A Fuel Inj fuse good, Meter Fuse good
All other fuses, visual inspection, good.
I'm taking a leap of faith that the alternator, NEW is working?

Any suggestions?

 

I have a 1.8L MX-3, different setup obviously but my car battery sometimes won’t charge and some electrical components won’t work. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery works for me - first then +. + then - when reconnecting. Hope this helps... that’s the only advice I got for ya
