Mazda MX-3 and Mazda MX-6These two sporty models have become popular cars for import tuners due to the availability of parts, the low price, and the smooth lines.
now before anyyone jumps on me, i got my hands on an already modified MX-3 with a I4 . . . its not original in any way,, and after looking around for the last 8mo, it never will be original again.
that being said, i love the lines of the car, always have, and im looking at options for updating the car to a newer drivetrain and interior, while retaining the hot hatch body lines.
the reason for this is that i really am looking to update it for easier access to replacement parts and so on, and theres a few QoL upgrades id like to make as well . . . i can deal with the body
panel situation, but recently a lot of tow yards have been crushing and\or melting down EC platform vehicles, and as a result its getting increasingly hard to find replacement parts for my
drivetrain and suspension(the interior and body have been downright impossible to find for a few years now)
i am looking for ideas and suggestions in regards to replacement engine/transmission(preferably still manual) and interior if possible, as well as any QoL suggestions as well . . . ive already
budgeted for a custom painless wiring harness for the car, just need to know what types of upgrades and internals ill be deciding on before i have them make it, mainly aorund the engine and transmission.
any help offered would be appreciated, especially so if that help is sourcing parts for her, as i love this car and would prefer to take her back to original if at all possible.
thank you all for stopping by my post lol
ps-i have already had the front windshield realigned and the seal replaced
Where did you get a seal for the front windshield? The seal on my '92 GS is shot... I'm putting her back together as well. 89k miles and 100% stock, V6 5MT!
actually a local company sourced it . . . place called J's auto glass here in Abq, NM . . . if you would like i can call em up and see if they can source another seal and ship it out
edit: they also managed to source my windshield as well as my driver window in less than 12hrs . . . they do great work too, only had a single issue(mx-3 seal) between like 8 vehicles,
and that issue was only because i didnt know about the window brackets under the flashing lol . . . also same guys told me 6wks for the hatch window, cuz mine has that stupid paparazzi tint on it lol
