I have a 2000 MPV and the van hesitates in just about any speed in the city when I press the gas pedal. The tachometer shows the RPM going up and then pauses and then increases and then pauses and then increases. I replaced the EGR valve and TPS without much luck. Also, when I am going from 3rd to 4th gear, the car really buckles before smoothing out as the speed increases. I am not sure what else to check. Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

Hi.

The issue was one faulty spark plug. It was a Bosch brand that had spark plug tip broken (manufacture defect). So angry that it was a new part and a defect. I replaced that one and van was smooth after that.

Today the van is in the junk yard resting in piece forever. Replaced it with a Sienna, and what an improvement in all aspects!!
