Timing belt verification?
Ok, ANOTHER noob question! The 1994 MPV with the 3.0 engine I am about to purchase is "supposed to have a blown engine". I am hoping it's just a timing belt. Is there a way short of trying to start the engine to see if the belt IS in fact broken? My Girlie's nissan broke the timing chain. I opened the oil filler hole and moved the crank by hand and saw that the camshaft did not move. Is this possible with this engine? I will be able to get a REAL good look under the hood this weekend. This will help me make plans for the future! Thanks in advance!
