mx-3 timing belt issue
ok thought this would be the best place to come and ask this question so heads up guys!
to cut a long story short changed a timing belt on a mx-3 the other day an took an illustration from a timing belt guide book for all cars. on the illustration it said that on this car(mx-3 1.8 v6) the timing marks on the camshaft were at about 315 degrees an it lined up with a very small notch on each side. it was pretty awkward to line it up with these marks as on the back camshaft you could not see without the help of a mirror and light but i believe it was timed to these marks. it sounds fine but on the person who owns it says it feels slow on accelaration so the timing may be retarded slightly.
so my question is does anyone know what the sprockets on the camshaft of an mx-3 should be lined up too when changing the timing belt??possibly pointing upwards?
