Default Power doors do not open

The power doors will shut fine if open, and i push the close button, however if they are shut, they just make a single beep, and refuse to open. Happens on both doors.

This is while using the powered feature, of course.

Any ideas?

Default Power Sliding Doors - Diagnostic Code Retrieval

- Place gear in Park
- Park brake applied (on)
- All windows closed
- All doors closed
- Ignition OFF
- Sliding Door Master "Power" Switch in OFF position

Procedure:

1) Turn ignition key to ON
2) Press master door "Power" switch ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON
3) Depress and hold down brake pedal
4) Depress and Hold the CLOSE button on one of the sliding doors, for 5 seconds until you hear a beep
5) The interior light (and/or ajar dash light) will now flash a sequence of 2-digit codes (with a pause between codes):
- Long flashes are the 1st digit
- short flashes are the 2nd digit

example: 7 long flashes, 5 short flashes = Code 75

To exit code retrieval mode:

6) Turn master door "Power" switch OFF.
7) Turn ignition switch OFF

Repeat above procedure to diagnose the opposite sliding door.

Let us know your codes.

Default Codes

Damn didn't know my car had a cheat code.

Looks like it flashes 42 - 43 - 42 - 43 etc etc.

Any ideas? Is there a manual for these somewhere?

Hi Razeth,

I've found an online resource which might provide you with what you need: https://cardiagn.com/2005-mazda-mpv-service-manual/

See the image below which explains possible causes of codes 42 & 43.
