Oil lamp in 2002 MPV
Hi. I own a 2002 MPV, with about 60,000 miles on it.
Recently, the oil light has been coming on intermittently. I took it twice to have the oil checked and they told me that there is plenty of oil. The mechanic told me to take it to a transmission specialist. Does this sound right to anyone?
More details:
The oil light comes on after I've done some highway driving. So, when I slow down and get off the highway, I see the light. Then it will go off for a while. If I decelerate, it comes on again. I guess the light comes on mostly when in lower gears. The light comes on, but doesn't stay on.
Any ideas?
