Default Occasional Engine miss

I have a 2002 MPV. The engine misses occasionally. Check Engine light is not on and a friend hooked his code reader to it but no codes were showing. I thought it may need a fuel filter but was surprised to learn they don't have one. I had previously replaced the front three coil packs due to an engine miss but those times the CEL came on and it showed misfire codes. Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks, Jeff

Could be anything from Dirty injectors to ECU.

I am having the same problem. I have just had a fuel system service where they run a cleaning solution through the fuel system and put a chemical in the tank. It seemed to reduce the problem but it is still there. I was also advised I should concider changing my fuel filter. The filter is located directly in the tank so I'm sure it'll cost a few bucks. Aside from that possibly a tune up.
