Default Mazda MPV 04 P0171 & P0174 MAF Sensor - HELP

First - I know NOTHING about cars, lol so please be patient with me. My husband is deployed and my 04 MPV check engine light came on. I got the code's checked and it was P0171 and P0174. After looking that up I figured out I need to clean the MAF sensor. My brother in law is going to come do that for me - but he doesn't really know how either. I unfortunately don't have a owners manual since I bought the van used and it didn't come with one. I was hoping someone could give me step by step instructions on how to do this?? I already purchased MAF sensor cleaner, but I have no idea WHERE the sensor is or how/what to clean on it. Thanks in advance for any help!!

This one should be easy. Get a long q-tip and clean the wire inside the MAF. The MAF is connected to your intake tube next to your air cleaner. It's a small cylindrical barrel with a square mini box on top. It's not exactly a box, but it's square looking.

Make sure key is off before you take out and clean.

Default P0171 & P0174 Lean Codes

I struggled to resolve this on my 2003 Mazda MPV issue for over a year. I replaced PCV and hose, all o2 sensors, MAF sensor and still no relief. My regular mechanic and my shade tree mechanic were stumped. Then I took it to a reputable well known mechanic here in Arizona who ran an diagnostic test ($75) and pin pointed it immediately. Something I never would have checked (and quite frankly never heard of): It was the "Intake Runner Control Actuator Seal". Total cost for everything: $245.00. All is well now!
