Mazda parts dealerships no longer inventorys a 89 MPV fuel injection wiring harness but they do have 1990 harness. I have no clue if the 90 version is compatible with my 89 model. Could some please tell me if this would work because the dealership has a zero return policy? I dont know if the 1989 and 1990 model has any changes between the years. This is for a v6 2wd. Thanks for your time.

 

The connectors could be different but you could always swap those. Check the part #s of the injectors 89 vs 90. If they are the same it would work.

It seems to me that the guy behind the parts counter should have been smart enough to compare part numbers. Also, another thing you could do is bring the old one to the parts department and make the comparison at the counter.

Also, as a side note, you might want to invest in a parts car. You can usually find one dirt cheap at an impound auction or in the classifieds. I bought one with a bad transmission for $100 and this car as been invalueable to me in replacing all of the hard to find parts.
