Default Coolant leak through cylinder?

After spending hundreds of $ fixing coolant leaks I seem to have an coolant breach through one or more cylinders. My mech says the cooling system pressure is normal, but the reservoir cap seems to want to blow out and I get weird hot-not hot readings on even short trips. I can see the engine vibrate abnormally and making some erratic whooshing sounds. Last thing the mech did was loop the heater. We don’t need it here, but is that the real problem?

I feel my mech is milking me. Can this or a cylinder missfire-lack of pressure be diagnosed with the onboard computer?

Thanks for any pointers.

sounds to me like a blown head gasket, cracked head, or cracked block.
