We have a 2009 MPV Japanese import model in New Zealand. The right rear power sliding door has a broken cable and we would like to disable the power option to operate it manually.
Looking for advice on disabling/disconnecting the power option, looking to have the cable cut and removed on both doors, is there anything else that needs to be done on the electronic side of things or straight forward cable cut and remove?
Any advice or information from anyone who has done this would be much appreciated.

Do any of the electronic components need to be removed if cable is cut and removed? Any issues to the car's computer?
