In the 2006 MPV maintenance schedule I do not see anything about when to have the timing belt changed.

Does the 2006 MPV have a timing chain that typically should not have to be changed within a specific maintenance schedule?

 

All 2000 and later MPV's use a timing chain kh_design. At least in North American market.

Do timing chains on the 2006 MPV have a long life expectancy, how many miles should be expected with the typical timing chain on the 2006 MPV?

 

I am hearing 250,000 miles is the typical life expectancy for the timing chain on the 2006 MPV.

 

That would be a fairly good guesstimation on longevity as I have not yet seen any failures but have also not seen any MPV's with chain engines having that many miles yet.

 

Just noticed this weekend that the timing chain can be seen when the engine oil fill cap is removed.
