I have a 2002 Mazda MPV i recently change oil and oil filter a spark plugs and cam shaft sensor .also replaced a ripped pvc elbow. My van cranks but doesn't start. I put everything correctly and still nothing.what can i do.

Did it run before you did the work?

 

Yes. It was running before after all was. Change it wouldn't crank

 

Sorry I don't quite understand. It was running before. I thought it was cranking, just not starting?

 

The problem was that prior to us doing a tune-up it was working once we did a tune-up and oil change and we also try to change the camshaft sensor and it's not running is this not cranking all the way like it wants to turn over but it does not turn over.

 

And by "turn over" you mean the starter won't crank the engine right? Will it turn over by hand with a breaker bar? I don't see anything that you changed that would cause it to not turn over unless maybe you put longer spark plugs than what came out but I highly doubt that..

 

Yes it won't start it Reeves like it wants to start but doesn't. Not sure what's wrong? It was running fine prior to that I know my fiance said dealer had to replace the O2 sensor but it was running before that

 

Do you understand what Cranks but wont start means? You are kind of back and forth on that issue.

Cranks but wont start means- You put the key in the ignition, when you turn the key the engine turns over (with out struggling) continuously but will not start.

I dont mean to sound rude but without clarification I wont be able to help you.

 

Baby that is trying to turn on a struggling to turn on but it won't turn on that's the phrase another mechanic was telling me that's why I kept saying that
