I replaced the two valve cover gaskets. When I put everything back there is a short (about 5in) ground wire I do not remember where to put it on. One end of the wire is connected the the lower driver side of the engine under EGR. I cannot remember where to connect the other side to. Since both sides of the wire are ring terminals so I think the other end must be mounted somewhere with a screw or put on a stud with a nut. But I checked the nearby parts like the solenoid and egr and cannot find any place to put it on. Please help. Thank you.

Reason: typo
I have no idea where it goes. Does it have markings on that unattached end indicating that it was attached somewhere? It is only so long, so I'd look around (stretch it to max length) the length of that cable. Those cables ground something and may have gone to the body/firewall somewhere, if it reaches. I went out to my MPV and I cannot see anything from on top, sorry. It may have not even been connected to start with, but that doesn't mean it has no home. Good Luck
Thank you very much for your response. I have figured it out. One end is mounted to the engine as shown on the picture and the other end should be mounted to the stud for mounting the valve cover so that the valve cover is grounded. Basically this ground wire connects the engine body and the valve cover.
