06 MPV shuffling sound on acceleration
I have an 06 with 135K miles that has a couple of odd sounds that I have not been able to pinpoint. I searched on the forum but couldn't find a similar situation.
1) On hard acceleration, there is a shuffling sound that comes from the engine. Once you let off it stops. Normal acceleration sounds fine.
2) On a cold start (regardless of temperature outside), for the first minute or so, at low acceleration speeds (it does not happen when it's idling), there is what sounds like a whirring noise coming from the engine. It's almost like someone talking into a fan type of noise. Once the van is warmed up after a minute or so, the sounds stops.
Any ideas? No engine codes and runs smooth at all other times.
I appreciate any assistance.

burtz Welcome to the forum
I know you gave what you think is a good sound description, but I have no idea what you are trying to describe. Keep in mind that when we describe sound it is based on personal references we have of sounds and not necessarily what they may be to another person hearing them.

Callisto,
I appreciate the feedback.
As for the shuffling, it's almost like if you took your hands and shuffled them rapidly in a vertical up/down direction .. but louder.
For the whirring, sometimes it sounds like somebody might be holding a piece of paper in a rotating fan blade. It's a high-pitched whirring noise.
I hope this helps. Thanks
