I'm having an issue with my trunk button not working. I have to slowly press the button for the gas door for it to open. Unfortunately, no matter what I try to pop the trunk, it doesn't work. I use my alarm key to open it, but it's really annoying when I have the engine on. I literally have to shut the engine, pop the trunk using the remote, then restart my engine.

I've checked the fuses and everything seems fine. Has anyone had this issue? And is it an easy fix that I can do myself?

 

my guess would be the switch. and you have to pull the panel to change it. dont forget to get the 2 push nuts to secure it, they are very hard to remove, and most of the time are not reusable

 

1st instead, u do a test .. get the gas door open & then actuate the unlock open, key & remote .. if u hear a "click or clunk) a proper check to the gas door be made ..
