need help
hello there, im working on a 98 nonsupercharged millenia for a friend of mine. the problem is theres a, i guess short, or malfunction in the gear select sensor somewhere so she cant get it started. i played with the select lever while its in park and if you find the sweet spot voila, hey look it works. so my question is, before i start to tear her car apart, is the gear select sensor located on the lever inside the center console or is it on the transmission itself. any info would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
maybe the transmissoin range sensor will sound more familliar to someone. i checked the ecu's DTC and amongst the other codes this sensor is the one causing her no start problems(PO705). now back to the original question, does anyone know where the transmission range sensor is located?
I had a problem logging in due to misplacing my password.Yeah it seems like a desert sometimes.I used to get alot of help here,as well as provide what help I can give.I see that alot of "veterans" that used to be here, are'nt now.Good luck..........
