Default key light

apparently some millenias have a lighted ring around the ign key. we have 2 99's, and neither have a lighted ring. what cars have the light, and if ours does, how difficult are they to get at?

Default RE: key light

Conflicting information in the wiring diagrams/workshop manuals on that one kennin. The wiring diagrams shows key illumination in 2000 and later. Workshop manual however does show procedure for replacing the bulb untill 2001 manual. Maybe forgot to add to manual?? Part # for what should be the ring surrounding the key cylinder superceeds front TA01-60-261-02 to an 261A after 6-1-99 production date. Maybe the supercession is to include the lighted function?? The other thing odd is that the CPU that provides the ground for the light is the same part # from 1997-2000. 2001-2002 different part. 2000 wiring diagram shows the wire in the JB-07 connector for bulb ground control but 1999 does not. Not everything making sense on why the 2000 CPU would have capability for key light with the same CPU as earlier models but earlier not equipped.
Anyway, sorry for rambling but irritating to get conflicting info from what should be reliable information. Might give a look at the back of the ign switch to see if there is a bulb socket and maybe even check the JB-07 connector and pin to see if the wire is there. Pics below. First the bulb r and r and then CPU connector.
Not able to download the CPU connector diagram as I had to save to paint and it is a TIF image which will not download. Any ideas how to change to a JPEG from paint??

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the audio unit.
3. Remove the ventilator grille.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
