does anyone know if the camshaft position sensor will prevent a 2001 Mazda Millenia from starting or even getting spark?

 

yes. the motor will not know where tdc is. also, the crank position sensor. on a 2.3, look at the oil dipstick tube. the crank sensor wire is attached to the tube, follow it down, and you will see it. also, on a 2.3, it could be the ignitor. this is on the left bank cyl head, and although i have heard of people washing the motor and frying the ignitor. this also acts as the cam position sensor. on a 2.5 i have no idea where either sensor is
