Default 98 Milley leaking Power Steering Fluid..Help

Hey guys/gals,
hoping to get some help here, My Mazda Millenia dumped the whole power steering reservoir on my driveway. It looks like its leaking from the Rack And Pinion from a piece that looks like a piston of some kind. Is this a Power Steering Gearbox? everything Ive researched it doesnt look like a gearbox, do I need a whole new Rack? Any help would be greatly appriciated! Thanks in advance...

It uses a steering rack. If it is leaking it is best to replace it with a good reman.

I just bought a 1998 Mazda Millenia about a week ago. I love it so far other than the fact that the only way i can get the key out of the ignition is by pulling the positive cable on my battery off then pulling out the key and putting the positive cable back on the battery. I think there is a miscommunication between the parking sensor and the ignition switch that is tricking the ignition switch into thinking it isn't in park but the car is in park. I have noticed that when i put it in drive the shift is half way between Drive and 2nd. can anybody help?

Yea, take your shifter apart or at least open it up so you can clean it,see whats going on with it. The key is not supposed to be released from the ignition unless it is in park. Some use solenoids, some use cables but 99% of the time the entire shifter mechanism is gummed up from spilled drinks.
