Hye ya'll! I've got a 95 Millenia S. The CEL was on, leaking oil, and jerks upon acceling. It was pulling code P1525. It is now pulling a P1402 which according to my code sheet is "EGR VALVE POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION". Another code sheet states the "EGR VALVE IS OPEN OR SHORT". My brother has a lot of experience working on a lot of cars (although not a millenia s). He has checked the EGR valve and says it is working fine. There is one bad cylinder and he thinks the catalytic convertor is blocked up. So far, we have replaced the bad coil plug, alternator, and both valve cover gaskets. I have downloaded all the information I can find on the web regarding checking the catalytic convertor for blockage. Has anyone had the same problem??? Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to pin point where the problem is ?????
