Default 95 Millenia 2.3 stalls over 2500 rpm

I recently purchased a 95 Millenia S 2.3 with 145K miles. It was blowing smoke at start up, so I replaced the supercharger, and also replaced the spark plugs and valve cover gaskets at the same time. After the car warmed up, it started stalling out with anything except a slow acceleration, and it wouldn't go above 2500 rpms. In park, it would bounce up to 2500 rpms and stop.

Two of the hoses on the top of the ABV Actuator were brittle and cracked, and after pressing them both further in place, the car would run normal for awhile. I replaced both hoses, but I am still having the same problem. [:@]

Any suggestions?

Thanks, keninn! I was following the vac hoses, and noticed the hose that runs to the base of the ABV solenoid valve had comeloose fromthe metal piping just below the ABV actuator. I also pulled a P0325 code, whichI have read is the dreaded knock sensor.

Could this code also be a result of this loose hose? I am really hoping not to have to go back in and replace the knock sensor. From what I read, it is a pain. Also, I don't remember seeing the knock sensor when I had the intakes off to replace the valve covers. Can you direct me to where it is on the 2.3?

dunno about the loose hose. but you dont want to go in after the knock sensor. if you do, you will then know how to change the compressor, because it looks like it is under it. also, you need a special socket. it looks like a slotted o2 socket. if you are not throwing any codes, perhaps the loose hose was the fix for the limp home. i doubt it, but who knows?

Thanks again, keninn. After reattaching the hose, it seems to be running smooth. Is there any way to check if the knock sensor is functioning without removing it?

Also, my obd II tester won't allow me to reset the P0325 code. If the sensor is functioning, will the computer eventually re-set the code, or do I need to pull the battery cables and send it in to re-test mode?

Update: I did figure out how to clear codes on my OBD II unit, however...

Today I had acceleration problems when leaving from a stop or after coasting; just a slight hesitation as if no fuel. It had no problems at higher acceleration.

I checked codes and it read a P0134 and a P0154, along with the original P0325 (I had not cleared the code previously). I have not found any posts on these codes.
