Just picked up a used 2008 Touring model with auto-trans (wife wanted that, not me) and have a question about what some of you have
done to make your non-Bose changer system ipod compatible. My 40 min. commute made me ipod dependent and I want to continue
to listen to my daily podcasts.

I have read that the mazda ipod link can be problematic.

Is there a head unit that I can buy and install that will allow me to use the steering wheel controls?

Is there a module I can plug into the back (I won't be ever using the satellite radio) that is more dependable
than the Mazda unit?

Great little car - reminds me of a '75 Scirroco I once owned but quicker. I have noticed that I feel every divot and crack on
the Pennsylvania turnpike however. Is the touring model a stiffer suspension or is that the tires?

Anything I may have forgotten to double check on a former Hertz rental with less than 5000 miles? I know the oil was just changed.
