Heater on mark 4 MX5 not getting very warm
Hello. My name is Mary and I have a 2015 mark 4 Mazda Mx-5. Mileage = 23,800. It takes a drive of about 6 miles before I get the mild 'warm' heat through to my heater. After a run of about 20 miles my mild warm heater stays at the same temperature, mildly warm but certainly never hot despite the temperature and fan being set to maximum. I took it to a local mechanic/diagnostic centre who recommended a genuine thermostat and heater matrix flush. My regular mechanic had already checked the coolant and for any leaks. Despite these efforts, the problem still persists. Have any members out there had the same experience and how did you have the fault rectified please? Thanks.

Unusual. And you have it all the way to hot with the fan on high? I have a 2008 Grand Touring with seat warmers. My heat is super hot, so much so, I have to turn it off at times even on the lowest setting. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on your issue will chime. in.
Thank you grim_reaper for your advice. I'm going to take the car to the main dealer nearest to where I live. I will discuss the way forward with the technicians, remembering your suggestion. If anyone else out there has any further advice I would be most grateful to hear from you. Much appreciated. Mary
