My 2008 Miata driver side door handle came off a few days ago. It appears that the handle itself is in good shape and that it has detached from the linkage inside the door. I'm wondering what the problem might be and how difficult it would be to repair myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

 

Please don't be offended, but, If you are having to ask the question then most likely its beyond you skill set.

By all means, feel free to remove the door card and have a look inside the door. You Tube may offer instructions for you.
