Car will not start!
WOW! This has never happened before. I have had this car for 6 years.
It suddenly will not start after about and hour in parking lot. I wonder if there is something someone could pull off making this happen?

What year? Miles? Manual or automatic? Any history of prior electrical events, How old is your battery? Any lights up on the dash? Do you hear a clicking sound when attempting to crank? Have you tried jump starting?

THis is a 2001. No previous problems EVER. I do see a light on the dash looks like a key. It is flashing. I do not remember ever seeing it before. We have the battery hooked up to a charger/starter. I wonder if there is a anti-theft device or something that i can reset? I do not understand why it suddenly will not start.
i forgot to say it is manual tranny. no clicking just hear the motor spinning. checked timing belt it is intact. no fire. no fuel. ????????????
You don't say if your car has an anti-theft device, and whether it is an original equipment or an after market installation. Don't you have an owner's manual?
Anyway these usually completely disable the car's electrics so you can't even get the starter motor to engage.
What color is the light, red or orange? If it's orange, and has the word "check" under it, that is probably your check engine light, and if so, and it's flashing, that means you have an ignition system problem.
If you can't start, remove one of your spark plugs, make sure the metal body is in good metallic contact with the engine, and try starting the engine. It should be giving a strong blue spark. If not, remove and clean the three-wire primary coil connectors plugged into your ignition coils, and retry. Keep posting.

thanks for your help. i was out of town yesterday and i will be going over to check on the car in the morning. I know that key light is not the check engine light, because there is another light looks like a little engine and it was on when i had to replace cat converter last year. i will post whether light is red or orange as soon as i find out
