One thing I hate about Mazdaspeed is that they customize the wrong vehicles. I don't want to see a Mazdaspeed 3 or 6, I want to see a Mazdaspeed MX-5 and RX-8. What is Mazda waiting for?

The Solstice and Sky are running over them with their GXP/Red Line models. Mazda needs to answer the bell and get out there with an equivalent vehicle. It's long overdue for the MX-5 to grow some ***** and add another 100hp.

I would look out for an MX-5 speed in the near future. The talk is that will be the next speed project before the RX-8, which is long overdue for a MAZDASPEED edition.

 

There has already been a Mazdaspeed MX-5 in 04/05. They turbocharged the 1.8L. Are y'all already aware, and just hoping that they do it again except turbocharge the 2.0? Or maybe drop the 2.3L turbo in there? Oh that would be a BEAST.

 

dont really care for the body style of the 3gen

 

i was told by the GM of one of the major mazdaspeed dealers in houston that they aren't planning a MS mx-5 any time soon. the new mx-5 has more hp than the most recent MSmx5 though. the rx8 r3 is not supposed to be offered as a forced indution model either. mazda is just trying to make itself popular with the new trends in cars, but is beginning to lose it's cult following. the FWD tuner crowd will come and go, but theavid enthusiastwill move on to never return if they don't get what they want. i mean, i know that i would much rather get an r1 rx7 than the upcoming r3 rx8. same goes for the MS mx5 over the newmx5 gt. am i right or wrong?
