Hello guys,

I hope this is not the eleventeenth time this question has been asked, but I'm definitely new here. My friend bought a new 2006 Pearl White Miata, and I finally got to drive it today. I LOVED the responsiveness of the car's controls, but I'm so used to the S2000, it would take years to get comfortable with it as a daily driver.

Anyway...to the point. the water temperature gauge seems to fluctuate according to engine speed or throttle position. I've never seen this behavior in any other car, and I want my friend to know if it's not right. It's almost like it's behaving like a boost gauge.

Is this normal?
