My son suggested I take his 1992 Miata for a project!! It has been stored in his garage for 4 years. I said ok but am having a hard time getting it to start. I need some expert advise!! I put in new oil, drained old gas and put in fresh gas and changed plugs. It turns over great. Gets fuel via the fuel lines. Has spark at all 4 plugs. Disconnected the air filter so it is getting straight air. It won't start. About once every 10 attempts it will fire just one cylinder then that is it. Also none of the dash instruments or warning lights work when turning on the ignition. Well it is a project I would like to enjoy. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
