Default 1992 Miata MX-5 window trouble

So I've got a '92 Miata with 175k miles on it and I'm realizing I've got a serious passenger window problem. I think it's just the connector pads or the leads on the switch itself but my window won't go down unless I seriously fidget with the switch, up and down over and over again until it decides to go! The window always goes down eventually but it takes forever sometimes! Does anyone have a solution to this problem or has had a similar problem? I'm going to try to take the door panel off tomorrow and inspect the wires but if anyone could help with the troubleshoot that'd be great!

Take the door card off, unplug the motor, operate the switch while checking for power & earth at the motor connector. If it good everytime you press the switch then you need a motor, if its not good everytime you you press the switch then you need a switch.

Hi...I had the same issue...I purchased a new switch and replaced it...After removing the old switch, I noticed some crud on the contacts...I cleaned them and tried it and it worked fine...I now have a new switch and a backup if one goes out!
