Hi all new to this forum and realize this topic has probably been beaten to death more than once but here goes. My 1990 has the usual timing gear keywat problems. I have tried everything including a custom machined keyway to try and take up the difference due to the groove worn into the crank but to no avail. I am now thinking of an engine swap if I can find a reasonably priced engine. I s this a big change. Will a 1.8litre fom another mazda product such as a protoge fit or are they exclusive in the miata. Also anyone know how to reset the stereo code after a battery change. Thanks for all the help Geoff
