Default Standard radio in CX-9 question

How does everyone like the radio that comes standard with CD player? Any comparisons between it and the optional Bose?

Thanks,

I bought my CX-9 with the standard radio installed, knowing that I was going to replace it. Finished that little project this weekend and works and looks great.
Added a Kenwood DNX7100 and some other goodies.

The Bose is nice. Good low end subwoofer, clear highs. I took one home for the weekend, and I though it was quite nice.

However, for the price of the package that comes with Bose, you may be able to install a real nice custom setup. You can get more sound that way. The only drawback is placement for a subwoofer. The Bose has a special enclosure that fits into the car in the spare tire compartment. An aftermarket enclosure would have to be custom built.

Unless you are looking for maximum power with all the bells and whistles you can cram into your dashboard, the Bose may be the way to go.

The factory non Bose unit is adequate, but I would at least upgrade speakers and an amp.
