Default Sat Nav and reverse camera not working after battery replacement

My Sat Nav system and reverse camera on CX9 are not working after the battery replacement. It keeping come out error message “A program can not be read. Please consult to a dealer”. I ejected my updated map DVD that I bought from online shop TomTom and put the original Mazda DVD, then everything working again! I replaced it with update DVD, it still working. That means the updated version of third party DVD map didn’t have system files on the original Mazda DVD which requires to start up the Sat Nav system.

Default More Info on DVD update

Hi Tim,

In your below fix, you mention you purchased an updated DVD from TomTom. Could you provide the information or link on this 3rd party update? I have the same exact problem with my 2010 Mazda CX9 Nav system.

Thanks!
Pablo

Hi Pablo,

Please be aware the update map DVD doesn't fix the problem. It was the update map causing the problem after the battery replacement. You can try to disconnect your battery terminal for 30min and reconnect it back with the original DVD loaded to see if fix the problem. If this still doesn't fix the problem, then you may have to replace the head unit all together. I have sold my car since. I hope this helps!
