My remote start (factory installed with separate key fob with Mazda badge) will turn on the lights but won't actually start the car. This has never happened before and I've owned the car since 2016. It's obviously working partially if it will do everything but start the actual engine. Has anyone else had this issue?

I live in Indiana and it's starting to get cold out and would like to be able to warm up my car before I get in it.
