I had my car parked in my driveway for a day. The next time I went to my car was at night and I noticed a series of closely packed bubbles where the exterior side window plastic melted.
Has anyone else experienced this? I bought the car used about two months ago from a Mazda/Volvo dealership.
It looks like aftermarket cheap plastic panels are added to the car pillars. The type that sticks with 3M double sided tape and it's melting when exposed to sun heat and uv.
I don't think any Mazda vehicle has the mirror type B pillar from factory. So this must have been added by the previous owner for decoration purposes only. I think it can be removed using any sticker remover product to show the original pillars. Hopping that dealership can do that for you for free.

I didn't even think of that as being a possibility. I'm trying to find Mazda stock photos of the factory made Mazda CX-9 and I am not seeing what you referred to as "mirror type B pillar" on the vehicles. Thank you for the idea wosman! I will definitely speak to the service center at the Mazda dealership after learning this.
I would find that hard to believe since it has a clean title and I bought it from Mazda. I’ll bring in to show them a demand a replacement.
Thanks
I took mine to my dealership (similar thing happened); they reckoned I took a blow torch to my car and it is not their fault - so good luck with demanding a replacement!
