Every so often the warning "front camera fogged -defrost now" comes up and then goes away. Is this normal?

 

Is it during cold weather?

 

Not really. Happens randomly, Car has less than 4k miles and is going in for first oil change and will address there. I might add we had quite a scare recently returning from a long trip. Low tire warning (load beeping sound and light) went off. Couldn't add any air as EVERY gas station along California's poorly maintained I-5 has had its air and water dispensers permanently vandalized. Finally stopped at a Les Schwab in rural town. They found it was #$@%@$! spare tire!!!!

 

Do you switch off your air conditioning? Anyway, the inside of the windshield gets a bit of fog and sets off the signal you mention. A few minutes of front defrost will promptly clear it.
