Ihave had my CX-9 now for about 6 months. I have the silver painted trip ont he interior door handles and center console. It is all scatched up, in particualr on the door handles. It looks like crap. I think the only thing that can be scratching it is jewerly, rings etc.

The paint is so cheap thoughI can take my fingernail and groove/scratch it.

I dont even have 8k miles yet. Anyone else having this problem? I read on car+driver 10k review they complained about same issue.

I have not talked to dealer yet, but I am going to. They need to fix this.

other than that,I live the car. Great drive very practical etc.

 

Mine is doing the same (on the driver's side). I think that it is bad paint; I don't wear a ring on my left hand. It just rubs off from using the handle to open and close the door.

 

I reported the same problem on a message board and found out, about 2 weeks later a Technical Service Bulletin from Mazda was issued to correct these defective pieces.
