Default CX 9 fuel economy

Has anyone looked into the performance/fuel chips they have out for the CX 9, and if so what do you think.
E-bay is full of them, but nobody who sells them can tell you how to hook them up to a CX 9.

You have to be careful of chip mods. Alot of them are junk, and are truly a waste of money. Also they could cause issues with the various engine components.

I would research with repuable companies, and spend the extra money if you truly needed one. Also keep in mind that you will get very little improvment on gas mileage with Mod Chips... they are usually designed to improve Horsepower by removing or overiding restrictors placed on the engine.

They are resistors, not chips that I have found, usually a 3.3K OHM put accross the inlet air temp sensor to keep more air flowing. This does nothing for fuel economy, infact I believe it may give less economy, but more performance.
