Default advice appreciate....buy 19, 20 or 21?

I'm looking to buy a clean, low miles. CX9 Grand Touring and have been doing a lot of research over past few days. Trying to determine if the newer models are worth the extra money over a clean 2019. Are the supposedly upgraded infotainment screens/systems worth it to pay more for a 20 or 21? Anything else among the models worth considering? Seems the infotainment is the only real difference? Any advise from you current owners is appreciated

The CX-9 is basically the same across all trims with most (if not all) the features intact. The new 10-inch displays are nice and the interface seems more intuitive than that on the smaller ones. Whether or not it's worth the price difference will depend mostly on what your comfort level is, on price. If you find a CX-9 with the upgraded unit and the price still sits well with you, then go for it.

I'm a happy owner of a 2016 CX-9, and I try to keep up with reports of the newer years. It seems that the main differences over the years are in minor things--captain's chairs and toe operated lift gate, for example. If you find the sweetheart car of any of the years you list, and it seems fine to you, grab it.

Thanks for replies. I prefer not to go past a two-three year year old used vehicle and sounds like a 2019 is the way to go. Been doing more research and doesn't appear the minor infotainment upgrades are worth the extra cost for a 20 or 21. Surprised to learn you still can't check tire pressure from the dash, no light in glovebox, and interior ambient lighting is so behind the market. Guess nothing is perfect but so easy to make those changes.

With my 21 GT, I use the paddle shifters a lot when going down from the mountains, though its not much more work to use the shifter to downshift/upshift.....

I recently bought a 2020 CX-9 with 12K miles on it. It was a previous lease and it looked like new and rides like new. Very happy with this car. I have always been a Honda and Toyota guy, but think Mazda is sort of a well kept secret! Good luck on your purchase!
